First day to circulate and file nomination petitions for the following offices:


January 24       U.S. President, U.S. Senate, U.S. Representative, Attorney General, Auditor General,
State Treasurer and Delegate and Alternate to the National Convention

January 26       Senator and Representative in the General Assembly

Last day to circulate and file nomination petitions for the following offices:

February 14     U.S. President, U.S. Senate, U.S. Representative, Attorney General, Auditor General,
State Treasurer and Delegate and Alternate to the National Convention

February 16     Senator and Representative in the General Assembly


February 15     First day to circulate and file nomination papers (ALL offices)


Last day to file objections to set aside nomination petitions for the following offices:


February 21     U.S. President, U.S. Senate, U.S. Representative, Attorney General, Auditor General,
State Treasurer and Delegate and Alternate to the National Convention

February 23     Senator and Representative in the General Assembly


Last day that court may fix for hearing on objections to nomination petitions for the
following offices:

February 24     U.S. President, U.S. Senate, U.S. Representative, Attorney General, Auditor General,
State Treasurer and Delegate and Alternate to the National Convention

February 27    
Senator and Representative in the General Assembly


Last day for court to finally determine objections to nomination petitions for the
following offices:


February 29
     U.S. President, U.S. Senate, U.S. Representative, Attorney General, Auditor General,
State Treasurer and Delegate and Alternate to the National Convention

March 2            Senator and Representative in the General Assembly

Last day for withdrawal by candidates who filed nomination petitions for the
following offices:


February 29     U.S. President, U.S. Senate, U.S. Representative, Attorney General, Auditor General,
State Treasurer and Delegate and Alternate to the National Convention

March 2            Senator and Representative in the General Assembly


March 26          Last day to REGISTER before the primary

April 17             Last day to apply for a civilian absentee ballot

April 20             Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted civilian absentee ballots

April 24             GENERAL PRIMARY

April 25             First Day to REGISTER after primary

May 1                Last Day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted military and overseas absentee ballots (must be postmarked no later than April 23)

August 1          Last day to circulate and file nomination papers

August 8          Last day for withdrawal by candidates nominated by nomination papers

August 13        Last day for withdrawal by candidates nominated at the primary

October 9        Last Day to REGISTER before the General Election

October 30      Last day to apply for a civilian absentee ballot

November 2    Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted civilian absentee ballots

November 6    GENERAL ELECTION

November 7    First day to REGISTER after the General Election

November 13  Last Day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted military and overseas absentee ballots (must be postmarked no later than November 5)
